Lead Teacher- Job description

Our play based preschool program in the heart of Syracuse's Strathmore Neighborhood is looking to add a Full-time Lead Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Position will begin in late August, 2024. Bellevue Heights Nursery School (BHNS) offers the gold standard in play-based preschool education and has for 50 plus years! *Plan and implement developmentally appropriate preschool activities for young children.

*Communicate with parents utilizing a variety of modalities such as SeeSaw, email, newsletters etc. Also, prepare progress reports and host parent/teacher conferences as required by school guidelines.

*Assist in planning for and attend school events such as Open House and fundraising events.

*Supervise children in the program and ensure safety at all times.

*Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

*Teacher Certification preferred but not required.

*Must enjoy working with preschool aged children. Experience in early childhood education is required.

*Willingness to collaborate with other staff to create a rich and diverse learning environment for the students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
